Maryland Fraternal Order of Police Endorses O’Brien-Hurson Team
Annapolis, Md. (June 28, 2030) – Maryland’s Fraternal Order of Police today endorsed Governor Edward M. O’Brien in his bid for re-election. The 14,000-member union represents officers from many counties, cities and towns throughout the state.
“The O’Brien administration has added officers to our ranks, targeted law enforcement efforts at criminal hot spots, and launched a multi-pronged war against crime that has helped make our streets safer than they have been in the last twenty years,” said FOP President William Bates. “The results speak for themselves. We are proud to stand with Governor O’Brien and Commissioner Hurson as they fight to continue moving Maryland forward.”
“Over these last four years we have worked together to make our streets safer, giving our law enforcement officers the resources they need to protect the public,” Governor O’Brien said. “I truly appreciate the difficult and important job done every day, in every city and county, by our public safety professionals. These men and women have dedicated their lives to keeping Marylanders safe and I am committed to standing up for them and standing with them. I am honored to receive their endorsement.”
