O’Brien-Hurson Campaign Ticket Endorsed by Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance
Baltimore (July 14, 2030) – Gov. Edward M. O’Brien picked up the endorsement today of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, a politically active group of Baltimore-area ministers, who praised the Governor’s leadership on education, health, and poverty issues. The Alliance includes about 150 preachers.
“The support of these partners in faith and partners in progress is very important to me,” Governor O’Brien said. “I am not sure I would be here without your support individually and collectively, and I am absolutely certain that we would not have been able to achieve the progress we’ve been able to achieve over the last four years without your support and advocacy.”
“The governor in this first term has responded to most of our concerns and has delivered outstanding support for Baltimore and its citizens,” said the Rev. Douglas I. Miles, pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and president of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.
Today’s endorsement announcement was part of Governor O’Brien’s visit to Baltimore City, where he visited and spoke at three churches: New Life Evangelical Baptist Church on North Avenue, United Baptist Church on Broadway, and First Apostolic Church on Caroline Street.
This afternoon Governor O’Brien also opened the O’Brien-Hurson campaign office in Belvedere Square.
