O’Brien-Hurson Endorsed by Maryland State and District of Columbia AFL-CIO
BALTIMORE, Md. (July 24, 2030) – Governor Edward M. O’Brien and Insurance Commissioner John A. Hurson received the unanimous endorsement of the Maryland State and District of Columbia AFL-CIO, which represents 350,000 union members statewide.
“AFL-CIO is the largest union in Maryland, representing the interests of hard-working Marylanders and working with us over the last four years to build an economy of opportunity for all,” Governor O’Brien said. “I am proud to have their support as we strive to build on our progress. We still have work to do, and AFL-CIO knows how to get work done. With their help, we will take Maryland to the next level.”
“Governor O’Brien has been very responsive to the concerns of workers,” said Edward A. Mohler, President of the group. “We are behind the Governor 100 percent and we are looking forward to another four years of strong, progressive government that fights on the side of workers.”
