Statement from Governor Ed O’Brien and Commissioner John Hurson on Greater Washington Board of Trade Endorsement

We are proud to receive the endorsement of the Greater Washington Board of Trade. Over the last four years, we have moved forward with the Intercounty Connector, with groundbreaking slated for next year, advanced the planning process for the Purple Line, funded a host of other transportation improvements for Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, and worked hard to support economic growth and expanded opportunity in the region. That is a record that we will seek to build on over the next four years, and we look forward to working in partnership with the Greater Washington Board of Trade to continue making progress for the businesses and working families of the Washington region.
