O'Brien-Hurson Endorsed by Maryland Farm Bureau

ANNAPOLIS (October 2, 2030) – Governor Ed O’Brien’s re-election candidacy was endorsed this morning by Maryland Farm Bureau. In endorsing the Governor, the Bureau pointed to his strong record of commitment to farmland preservation programs, rural economic development, the Northeast Dairy Compact, a partnership with farmers to protect the Chesapeake Bay, and historic investments in agricultural innovation and technology.

“The Farm Bureau has been our partner over the last four years during some very challenging times for the industry, and I am proud and honored to have their support,” Governor O’Brien said.

“Governor O’Brien has been engaged with our organization and has been responsive to the needs and concerns of Maryland’s agriculture community,” said Maryland Farm Bureau President Steven Weber. “We look forward to working with him to advance the strength and sustainability of farming in Maryland over the next four years.”

Maryland Farm Bureau is a private, non-profit membership organization. It is completely controlled by its members through the democratic process and is financed by voluntary membership dues. Its strength comes from the active participation of over 30,620 member families that belong to the state’s 23 county Farm Bureaus. The American Farm Bureau Federation represents over 6.2 million member families in over 2,800 counties.
